ss12 neil barrett shoes

Neil Barrett is one of my favourite designers, despite his tendency towards using a lot of blacks in this design which is really not my thing. But I would say that every season Neil Barrett is always able to surprise me with some unprecedented, very interesting shoes. Something from this season that really caught my attention is the sand color woven leather sneakers. It does look like made of bottle cork material at first glance. The laceup in such material is equally interesting too. Another great offering from Neil this season would be the high cut gladiator sandals with a metal plate in front. Very manly and rugged looking. The only down thing about this shoe collection is the hefty price tags. My choice goes to the high cut gladiator sandals. Well, if you can afford, they are all available now at various online stockists.

ss12 sandalicious part1

Which one do you like? The Pierre Hardy and Neil Barrett are recurrent models, with the latter come in some interesting textured material this time. I personally saw the Acne ones and I quite like it. Not forgetting the Kris Van Assche one too.

neil barrett ss12 sandals

Good things repeat. Yes, one of my favorite sandals from Neil Barrett return this season with more interesting colors of dirty green and blue in bi-material look.
My black version has the suede behind, while the new versions have them in front. TheCorner has the new SS12 ones now.

neil barrett ss11 sandals

Another fabulous loot from sales. I have been eyeing on this pair of Neil Barrett hybrid sandals for quite some time. Having it acquired is just a matter of timing. I was in Bangkok in July and saw the full black leather version at Club21 Thailand Erawan, and I still could find my size at the time! I tried on but I decided not to make my purchase then because the leather was 'biting' the back of my ankle quite badly. So I thought maybe the sandals was not really meant for me. Later I noticed this bi-material version with suede and yes, it is softer than the leather portion and not causing any pain to my ankle. I see no more excuse to not buying this pair of gorgeous sandals.

neil barrett suede hybrid desert boots ss2011

This is an intrepid attempt by Neil Barrett. Desert boots crossed with sandals is simply brilliant. The gum sole makes them less slippery, the zip behind expedites wearing process, and the tan suede completes the overall appearance with luxuriousness and ruggedness. Oki-ni has them now at GBP425. Quite pricey.

neil barrett dickensian, should i?

It seems that Neil Barrett's AW2010 collection has been lauded by many. Indeed, he did come out with many great pieces. This pair of "Dickensian" high-cuts is having sales now at AlohaRag at USD437.50. Constructed with premium leather and a lot  of details incorporated, I particularly fancy the zip behind, though using zips on shoes is not something unparalleled. The front sole is slightly tilted, just like the McQueen's Calamity shoes. I cannot really judge whether such tilted front sole is comfortable to wear.
