ss12 sandalicious part2

Second part of SS12 sandals obsession. Love the YSL brown with yellow trims. This season I observe that some sandals tend to go thick-soled, with DSquared2 the most representative example.And oh I am not really a fan of suede sandals. Hard to maintain, especially in the humid weather of Singapore. The Margiela sandals come in some unusual material, which to me, looks a little like those chinese funeral stuffs. Not a fan too.

Undoubtedly, DSquared2 makes hardy and nice sneakers. Made in Italy with quality material and workmanship, they could last for a long time. I like this high top because of its color combination of maroon, black and brown. GBP430 at Selfridge if you intend to invest in a pair of great high cut sneakers.

And yes, I am a fan of high cut sneakers. I rarely buy low cut ones :)

I came across this beautiful leopard print pony hair low cut DSquared2 trainers at the local DSquared2 store at ION Singapore. Made in Italy. Perfect for the season. ZOZO also carries the same.

going bright for autumn winter with dsquared2 trainers

Autumn Winter to me should never be bleak, gloomy and full of browns, greys and blacks. These recurring striped DSquared2 sneakers with loud colored soles are perfect for the season.

What I love about DSquared2 shoes is that they are usually made in Italy. So, quality and craftmanship are guaranteed.

Ssense is selling now the AW11 hi-tops with many velcro straps, namely Octopus. Love the silver painted leather. I recall there is another all black version at Luisaviaroma too.

dsquared2 new season lowcut trainers

I believe this lowcut trainers is from the pre-FW2011 collection, with strong red and brown colors and the use of distressed leather material. It is always surprising to notice that the typical bold stripes of DSsquared2 shoes has evolved. This pair of shoes indeed shows new stripe design, and the zigzagging stitch at the edge of the leather patches looks amazing. The red suede at the ankle area is a brilliant and eye catching detail. DSquared2. Love the pastel color combination and the geometrical shapes.  I also like the high cut version, as seen in zozo and ssense.

my new y-3 honja & dsquared2

It's the end of season sales period again. Orchard Road in Singapore is more crowded than usual. Many labels have started their spring summer sales, including Y-3 and DSquared2. While most of their items are already grabbed up or out of size, I think I am still very lucky enough to find what I have wanted. The classic Y-3 Honja with pokka dots which is one of the feature shoes of this season and a pair of DSquared2 trainers which is not so 'loud' in pastel blue and grey, something not as bold as the usual DSquared2 style.

It is not easy to find great looking colored brogues. I think these single color brogues from Dsquared2(top) and Paul Smith are extremely stunning. USD655 and GBP235 respectively.

dsquared2 suede leather highcut 2011 blue

I own the AW2011 green brown version and now here is the new SS2011 version. Equally hot and gorgeous, defnitely my kind of shoes and it has my two favorite colors - blue and grey! I don't mind adding them to my collection, despite the same design.
