obsessed with Y-3 drake

It has been a while that Y-3 shoes are absent from my collection, until lately I discover this Drake shoes making its first appearance in AW12. After purchasing the boot version in black at the local Y-3 store weeks ago, the sales assistant told me that this blue and sand low cut version is coming in and yes it arrived last week in limited numbers. Y-3 Online store is also selling now. Take a look here. Drake low comes in the safer all black too.

in love with drake y-3

It has been a while that Y-3 is absent from my shoe collection. From the all-time favorite HONJA to FIELD, I have had them several times, and they have come and gone. Lately I was looking around at the local Y-3 store and found this ankle boots that immediately captured my heart. It is a new design for AW12. Equipped with AdiPRENE thick toothed soles, it is so perfect for fall winter. The local store carries only the black version while the blue suede version will be available through Y-3 online store. The low cut version is equally stunning and I can't wait to see a bi-tonal version (black and sand) hitting the local store.

go suede for y-3 aw12

SSENSE is now selling some great looking Y-3 AW12 sneakers, including my favourite Kazuhiri in burgundy suede and leather with gold words. A new hybrid which is called 'Lark' has emerged in this season, with a very moutain boot kind of design.

y-3 faux croc skin lowcut SALA

Another Y-3 shoe model which can be considered quite recent, called "SALA". Besides the usual standard leather version, this faux croc version gives a very luxurious look. The typical yet necessary Y-3 logo placement is at the back, and in striking white. Buy this if you like at SSENSE.

y-3 aw11 kimono flower

Y-3 enlivens this autumn winter with colorful kimono flower prints. This time round, the popular Honja high and a new model called Ratio, have got the embodiment of this nice colorful Japanese motifs. Interestingly, the prints are actually asymmetrical. Each side of the shoes is unique in its own way. SSENSE.com stocks these vivacious shoes!

serious Y-3 shoes

Y-3 makes popular and great looking sneakers and trainers, needless to say more. But how about some really serious looking lace-ups? Last season I have seen some not too bad attempts and the effort continues into this season. These black and white desert boots and lace-ups are some amazing pieces from Y-3 for this season. As you can see they are indeed made of better quality material (some nappa and pig leather). Get them from Y-3 online store if you really like. But certainly, the prices are much higher, understandably for this range of 'more serious' Y-3 shoes.

my new y-3 honja & dsquared2

It's the end of season sales period again. Orchard Road in Singapore is more crowded than usual. Many labels have started their spring summer sales, including Y-3 and DSquared2. While most of their items are already grabbed up or out of size, I think I am still very lucky enough to find what I have wanted. The classic Y-3 Honja with pokka dots which is one of the feature shoes of this season and a pair of DSquared2 trainers which is not so 'loud' in pastel blue and grey, something not as bold as the usual DSquared2 style.

y-3 kazuhiri navy ss2011

I have been a fan of Y-3 since many years ago. The love is extended from the love for Adidas. When I had my first trip to Hong Kong, I realised then that Y-3 was so popular. Those were the times when Singapore was still barren of Y-3, with some small collections at Club21's multilabel store, BlackJack ( now Club21b ). I had some chats with the staffs at HK Y-3 and D-mops stores ( Y-3 in HK is under D-mop ) and they told me they have got many tourist customers from Singapore. Not surprising afterall.

Anyway, back to this shoes. Kazuhiri. This particular model is considered a new breed because if I do not remember wrongly, it doesn't exist prior to 2010. I guess some models if popular, will be made coming back seasons after seasons. What I like about Kazuhiri is that it is ankle-height, with a elastic strap across the ankle area, making it very comfortable to slip on, almost a lazy shoe. Furthermore, blue is fatal to me. I like anything in blue. This Kazuhiri is highly pegged in my wishlist. Damn, my wishlist is getting longer and longer......
