Well, it is almost the middle of the fall winter collection but I only began to see more interesting shoes from KVA. Love all these high tops in different tones of blue in multi-patched design and some even come with striking pungent color blocking such as orange. KVA stuffs are usually black and white but this time I am happy to see so many colors. All available at SSENSE now.

Which one do you like? The Pierre Hardy and Neil Barrett are recurrent models, with the latter come in some interesting textured material this time. I personally saw the Acne ones and I quite like it. Not forgetting the Kris Van Assche one too.

I wrote about the low cut version before some time ago, wondering whether the strap is a redundancy in the design. Lately I found the high cut version in white at ForwardForward.

This season I see many brown shoes. This very 'tawny' brown Kris Van Assche hitop is very striking. Made of brushed leather that will age gracefully with wear and tear, this shoes will give a more rugged look.

Kris Van Assche's not-so-typical low cut sneakers for AW11. I am really not sure about that  canvas strap with buckle across is a plus or a redundancy.

Kris Van Assche let us preview some SS2011 shoes in the website. Generally, colors of the shoe body are mainly black and grey while the soles are in lighter colors such as beige or white. I like the first and the fourth ones, though the designs are actually repeated with some slight modifications. The piping/trimming effect is seen in some  shoes as well, and in my remembrance, KVA collections seldom exhibit piping/trimming effect am I right? Anyway, which one do you prefer?

Jeff Chang on Kris Van Assche...

I was at the 16th Singapore Hit Awards held on 29th October this year and I spotted Taiwanese "Prince of Mandarin Ballads" Jeff Chang (Zhang Xinzhe, 張信哲) wearing this Kris Van Assche. It seems that this particular model has become the signature or classic of KVA, as in the upcoming SS2011, the same shoes will be available again, according to luisaviaroma.com, but I might be wrong.
