serious Y-3 shoes

Y-3 makes popular and great looking sneakers and trainers, needless to say more. But how about some really serious looking lace-ups? Last season I have seen some not too bad attempts and the effort continues into this season. These black and white desert boots and lace-ups are some amazing pieces from Y-3 for this season. As you can see they are indeed made of better quality material (some nappa and pig leather). Get them from Y-3 online store if you really like. But certainly, the prices are much higher, understandably for this range of 'more serious' Y-3 shoes.

pierre hardy black desert boots

You can never go wrong with Pierre Hardy desert boots. This design is recurring every season with color variations. I think black is classic and yes, the cutting is immaculate. What I love about this black leather version is that the sole is not rubber but wood.

ysl desert boots in dark blue

Quite a nice pair of new season desert boots from YSL. In navy velvety suede with some flannel trimming, a little resembling the Pierre Hardy but the overall appearance is still captivating. Love the heel pull.

salvatore ferragamo blue suede desert boots

I never see this pair of desert boots at the local Salvatore Ferragamo stores here in Singapore. The online store is carrying it. The blue suede has again captured my heart, despite the fact that I already got a pair of blue suede desert boot by Pierre Hardy.  But this Salvatore has got the interesting grey-white details at the back of the ankle and on the lace. You could order online if the online store accepts your country :)

common projects chukka boots blue ss2011

Blue is always my thing. I have my love at first sight for this minimalistic Common Projects Chukka Boots. Constructed with made in Italy nubuck and solid sole, I am totally melted, much less, I don't have any Common Projects yet. Oki-ni and TheCorner  have them now.

pierre hardy desert boots ss11

Some call it desert boot, some call it derby boot or chukka boot. Whatever it is, this kind of shoes is increasingly popular. Many designers have released such boots but I remember the Pierre Hardy and D&G ones more vividly, but I like the Pierre Hardy one more because the sole is made of rubber and it gives better grip on the floor, while the D&G version is made of wood (if I remember correctly), and can be quite slippery on wet surface. This type of boots goes well with folded chinos or tailored shorts.

Pierre Hardy 's latest color of pale greyish blue is out now at colette. If you want to get the darker color version, try the AW2010 collection at tresbienshop or studiohomme. They are still plenty in stock.
