The very signature big, jagged toothed sole boots of YSL returns this fall winter in some flannel material and dark tones. At first glance, I really thought the boots is from KVA or Dior Homme. Nonetheless, it is still a pair of super gorgeous boots, and it has secured the first position on my AW12 wishlist.

YSL going rubber - update

I recall Gucci came out with some rubber loafers last season. For this SS12, it is YSL's turn to release some good looking yet practical YSL loafers. I am not a huge fan for such "lazy shoes" as I usually call them, but when I slipped my feet into them, the comfort level was beyond words. They are so unexpectedly comfortable and convenient to wear.

SSENSE has the black and blue versions now, while Matchesfashion has other colors such as red, brown and olive. I just think these loafers work great in wet weather. Do note that if you are buying them online, the sizes are a little tricky as they run quite big. For loafers that embrace the feet 'skin-tight', half or one size smaller is recommended. And with the craftmanship in Italy, you need not worry much about the quality.

I used to own a few pairs of YSL hitops. After a while, I am actually bored by them. But when I saw these new hitops off MrPorter, the fire is rekindled. I like the animal print and the snakeskin versions. They are definitely on my list of AW12 shoes.

I almost forgot about my navy YSL in suede and pony hair. It was at the lowest position in the box stack, and sometimes I am too lazy to shuffle the boxes.

ysl jack deck white lowcut sneakers aw11

Full leather with rubber sole, this YSL Jack Deck lowcut sneakers is in minimalistic appearance that will match almost everything well. This recurring model has appeared in brown before but I think this white version supersedes the predecessor. MrPorter.com carries this now at less than GBP300, great price indeed.

Another offering from YSL for this AW11, with typical suede material in black. This design is not new. It is in fact recurrent. I like the velcro strap at the ankle area and the grey tweed patches. Get this from Matchesfashion.com at GBP420 if you like.

The color of this shoes is not something that I am keen to buy, but it is definitely very representative of  AW11. YSL shoes have never disappointed me. If you own one, you will realise and love the cutting of them. Matchesfashion has this shoes now.

ysl nubuck lowcut trainers aw11

Once you start to wear a pair of YSL sneakers, you would love the cutting. It is not so narrow, yet slightly pointed towards the tip area.
Matchesfashion is now selling this AW11 brown nubuck lowcut, at GBP340, and i believe, except the soles, the shoes shall be quite dirt resistant because of the color.

Been eyeing on this YSL for some time. Now is sales time and it's the right time to own it.

ysl desert boots in dark blue

Quite a nice pair of new season desert boots from YSL. In navy velvety suede with some flannel trimming, a little resembling the Pierre Hardy but the overall appearance is still captivating. Love the heel pull.

leopard print from fw11 ysl & jimmy choo

Jimmy Choo's first entrance into men shoes is quite anticipated by many. For AW2011, it is unavoidable to have animal print. This hi-tops from Jimmy Choo is not just in luxurious-looking leopard print but also bedecked with some small croc-like leather parts and the tip in tiger stripes?

Similarly, YSL would also release its classic hi-tops in pony hair and leopard print. All look bold and expensive, and yes, I mean they are quite dear.

victor & rolf brown hitops

Victor & Rolf high cut shoes in canvas and leather. Ssense is carrying it at USD495. For a made in Italy shoes, I think the price is quite justifiable. Some people may think such brown color is hard to match. The more I look at this shoes, the more I feel I have seen it somewhere. I think it's the design which is very similar to the YSL version.

ysl high tops white ss2011

MrPorter, the new online fashion store for men, is now open officially. Under the shoes selection, I found this gorgeous YSL high-tops. The grey trimming at the tongue and the little logo behind the ankles are great details. Priced at GBP392. 

On a side note, I find the whole layout of MrPorter simple, direct, clean and intuitive. The images of merchandise are well presented. I am so surprised to see some impressive shoes from Marni, one of my favorite brands.

ysl pony hair highcut aw2010

Another purchase of mine in Dec 2010 but I have not got time to compile the images. It was the last pair I got from Club21 sales. Quite a worthwhile buy. I love that dark mysterious blue. This high-cut comes in burgundy and black too, available at YSL.com
