HK singer, Wilfred Lau (leftmost) was wearing his Native Fitzsimmons during his appearance at a movie presscon together with Louis Koo and Sammi Cheng. Apparently, the design of this rubbery shoes is based on mountain boots, but I bet the weight is so much lighter due to the kind of material used. Because of this Fitzsimmons, I then realise Native is Canadian. You can learn more about Native at its website.
I would say this is really not a big deal thing, very much like the notorious "CROCS" kind of thing, but fashionistas such as Edison Chen also carries them in his Juice store, much less the UK webstore Endclothing also selling them (at only GBP69!). I guess these rubbery footwear definitely secure some markets out there.
